My internship here in Calgary is a voluntary unpaid placement. So I have moved continents, am learning so much, working a five day week and have the privilege to be doing something I enjoy. I am so grateful for this opportunity and for those who have contributed to make it possible. I really believe this is where God wants me for this season and although that doesn’t give me the excuse to rest on my laurels I have already experienced how generous people can be.
eMi run their internships with a term fee to cover costs. This covers the following:
- flights and insurance from the UK to Canada
- in office tuition here in Calgary
- flights and insurance for my project trip to Uganda
- cost while travelling and working in Uganda
- rent for accommodation while in Calgary
Alongside these costs, if I have raised enough funds, there will be a per diem budget provision for my essential living costs – such as:
- commuting costs to and from the office
- groceries
In order to cover these costs I am raising funds and asking people to donate – in this post I am laying out the options and processes by which you can support me. If you’d like more information about where I am, what I am doing and why please looking through my blog posts and get in touch.
